Richard G. Gertler is special counsel to Kaufman McGowan PLLC and leads our litigation practice.
Mr. Gertler has over 30 years of litigation and bankruptcy experience. He helps clients avoid mistakes that result in liability and minimize risk, while improving their business, particularly with respect to secured and unsecured lending. He also represent businesses and individuals, buyers and sellers, and landlords and tenants, in connection with the purchase, sale or lease of residential and commercial property, secured and unsecured transactions and in their efforts to obtain financing and mortgage loan workouts or address foreclosure issues. If a risk manifests, he addresses it through representation in litigation, arbitration, administrative hearings and all forms of dispute resolution.
Mr. Gertler received a:
- J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1984.
- B.S. from University at Albany in 1981 with a combined concentration in Marketing and Finance and a minor in Accounting.
Mr. Gertler is admitted to practice law in the State of New York in both State and Federal Courts, as well as:
